4a-Tiny and tight curls

4A are tiny, tight curls that usually have a well defined S pattern. These curls are in the shape of a corkscrew. The best way to keep these curls defined is a dime size of curl gel through wet hair. From there you can finger coil your strands section by section. 4A has a tendency to curl together so detangling and sectioning it off when styling is important.

4B- THe "Z" Shape curls

4B curls bend in sharp "Z" shape. These curls need to be stretched and defined. Since the sharp "Z" shaped pattern of this hair type acts as a major obstacle for the natural oils from the scalp to travel down the length of the hair, the best way to take care of it is to treat it with coconut or castor oil before washing it to retain some moisture.

4c-Zigzag curls

4C curls are not represented by one single texture. They generally have a zigzag pattern that is way tighter than 4B curls. These curls are prone to instant shrinkage. To combat the shrinkage, work in leave in conditioner, a grapeseed oil and some curl cream. 4C works well when these products are used with a two strand twist styling technique.
